Emirates Brings Senegal Closer To Dubai Posted By: Galileo

The aircraft A340-300 has been installed for this new service allocating 12 seats for First Class cabin, 42 for Business whereas 213 seats for Economy class cabin.

Before this, Emirates used to follow an indirect route to operate the flights to Senegal from Dubai, making quite a long hauls flight. With the launch of this fresh and non stop service, the journey duration from Dubai to Senegal has reduced to 8 hours creating a speedy, convenient and simple traveling option for the business and leisure travelers of Dubai flying to Senegal. This scheduled direct service for the flights to Senegal will be operated on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Nigel Page, the Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations of Emirates appointed in Africa and the Americas said that today marks a new episode in travel between the Middle East and West Africa. Now the passengers traveling in the flights to Senegal from Dubai will have to face long stopovers wait in European or other parts of Africa to arrive at their final destination. Instead, they will enjoy the facility of a non-stop air connection with Dubai with a very viable baggage allowance and the award winning in flight services for which Emirates is popular.

He further said that their new flights to Senegal service is a further revelation of Emirates obligation to investing in and supporting the growth of its African route. Not only is the service already paying through the establishment of new jobs opportunities, such as their first cabin crew and sales staff formed in Senegal, but it will offer a considerable long term raise to commerce and business in both the Middle East and West Africa.

Direct flights to Senegal, Dakar is the fifth new destination commenced by Emirates this year. The others are Tokyo, which was launched on 28th March, Amsterdam on 1st May, Prague on 1st July and Madrid, on 1st August.
